Our Company’s Story

The Goronson Farm – is a small farm in Maine, established in October of 2013.

With rising food and fuel prices, and the threat of pesticides lacing our food, more gardeners and hobby farm enthusiasts are looking for ways to reduce household costs and grow more of their own food.

We raise rare breed poultry and organic vegetables and fruit.  Last summer, we planted an organic blueberry grove and several dwarf varieties of apples, which don’t require acres of land to grow. This spring we planted an orchard of organic, heirloom varieties of apples, peaches and pears that are geared to the Maine climate. Next spring we will also add a very small vineyard, mostly for the benefit of our flock.

Join us as we write about the trials, tribulations and joys of homesteading on a small scale in a suburban landscape.
